We joined the Helpful Holidays group in 2013 and celebrated our 30th anniversary in 2014. We are one of the UK’s leading smaller letting agencies, successfully renting holiday homes in South West England, from Cornwall to the New Forest. With years of valuable experience, we visit every property, enjoy a friendly working relationship with each of our owners and offer personal, knowledgeable advice to guide holidaymakers to properties which suit them. Our aim is to achieve the maximum level of bookings for owners as effectively and efficiently as possible, and at the same time provide holidaymakers with memorable holidays. Letting your property should be enjoyable and rewarding, as well as profitable and we provide both property owners and holidaymakers with a professional, flexible service. We know from experience that the majority of holidaymakers prefer to book through an agency. Our customers, many of whom have booked with us year after year, trust our experienced sales team to advise them honestly and candidly about the properties we let. We are all very familiar with the West Country and as well as recommending properties, we share our knowledge and enthusiasm to help customers discover the region’s gems and make the most of their holidays. Over the past three decades, our staff have visited every hidden corner of the West Country; stretched out on the beaches, sampled the pubs and restaurants, visited the tourist attractions, gardens and historic houses – it’s tough work, but somebody has to do it! We love this spectacular peninsula and find it easy to share our passion.

Our in-house media team has established and developed excellent relationships across the travel industry. Using our extensive knowledge of internet marketing, we have consistently increased our market share of bookings. Social media is very productive, and we make good use of Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Our blog promotes news and events and our email newsletters and affiliate marketing provide another effective way to keep our name out there – we aim to keep your property in the public-eye all year round.

Although it’s the age of technology, we also produce good results from more traditional campaigns, such as regular targeted mailings using both post and email, and we advertise in selected quality publications, both locally and nationally, where we also achieve editorial coverage.

We monitor the effectiveness of our marketing on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. The majority of our bookings are secured via the internet, so this is where we concentrate most of our marketing investment, ensuring we appear near the top of the major search engines, thereby driving traffic to our website.

How We Market Your Property - From the traditional to the modern

Our brochure continues to be received very well and is still a useful tool for attracting new customers. Many of our holidaymakers return again and again and recommend us to their friends; we send all previous holidaymakers a copy of our annual brochure. When you join us, you tap into that vast, established market. If you join us too late for the current brochure, don’t worry, our colour supplement is published in-house and frequently updated throughout the year, and your property will of course feature on our website.

Our website gives us the opportunity to display more photographs of the best features of your property. It also offers an online booking option and has proved to be the most effective way to generate bookings. We maintain the website in-house, so can easily and promptly make amendments and update photographs. New properties can be added to the website and available for booking within a few days of a contract being received. We regularly monitor and modify our site for search engine optimisation; most new customers find us via the web and booking levels are increasing year on year.
