The peaceful village of Harbourneford lies within the stunning scenery of Dartmoor National Park, midway between South Brent and Buckfastleigh. Throughout the year Dartmoor is an exceptionally beautiful place to visit with deep wooded gorges, granite tors and waterfalls. The area has an amazing number of visitor attractions and activities on offer, including horse riding, abseiling and over 500 miles of footpaths, cycle routes, coarse fisheries and rivers to explore. Woodpecker, named after the Greater Spotted Woodpecker that is often seen and heard nearby, is an attractive ground floor apartment, one of a small group of barn conversions. Inside, the property is light and contemporary with a lovely kitchen, large bedroom and an en-suite shower room (there is one step up into the walk-in shower). Double doors open from the bedroom and lounge onto the front courtyard and a small patio with table and chairs. The owners live next door and will ensure a warm welcome, including a cream tea. Safe storage for bicycles is available and, by arrangement, use of a washing machine and tumble dryer.

	There is a pottery in Harbourneford and for shops, pubs or restaurants both South Brent and Buckastleigh are within two miles. The award winning pub, The Royal Oak at South Brent is worth visiting as are the historic abbey and Butterfly and Otter Sanctuary at Buckfastleigh. The beautiful beaches and villages of the South Hams, including Dartmouth and Salcombe, are within easy reach. A rewarding walk starts at nearby Shipley Bridge, and meanders along the river, through scenic landscape for 2 ˝ miles to the foot of the dramatic Avon Dam. Note: Non-Smokers Only.
