Stockland is a pretty village on the edge of the beautiful Blackdown Hills, close to the market towns of Honiton and Axminster and a short drive to the coastal resorts of Lyme Regis, Seaton and Sidmouth. The village has a thriving community centred around The King's Arms Inn, the village hall, school, church and Post Office. White House Cottage is a charming, detached property dating back over 300 years, situated opposite the owner's house, within their grounds. Completely refurbished and extended it has a stylish kitchen and a comfortable living room with a separate reading area. Wooden stairs lead up to the lovely bedrooms and roof terrace, accessed from the twin bedroom. The terrace has a table and chairs and overlooks the owner's delightful garden.

The surrounding countryside offers excellent walking with Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks within easy reach. The nearby village of Kilmington has two thatched pubs and a popular farm shop selling local produce and French delicacies. Axminster and Honiton are both within half an hours drive. Axminster has a weekly market, a variety of pubs and restaurants, a leisure centre and swimming pool. Honiton, renowned for its lace and pottery making, is now a magnet for antique dealers with specialist shops and auctions. For an action packed family day out Crealy Adventure Park is hard to beat and for a completley different experience try fossil hunting along the stunning Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis or Seaton.

There is no private parking but on road parking is available outside the cottage.
