West Down House is an impressive, 16th century manor standing in five acres of lovely grounds with extensive lawns, trees and shrubs, creating hidden corners where you can relax, one of which includes a barbecue. There is a large, fenced, solar heated OUTDOOR SWIMMING POOL with a sun terrace, which is open May to September. There are three cottages within the grounds, each with its own garden.

The Butler's Pantry is a cosy cottage adjoining the main manor house; a spiral staircase leads to the pretty, beamed bedroom, which has an en-suite bathroom. The open plan living area has a woodburning stove making it an ideal retreat for two, whatever the time of year.

	Nearest Coastline: Sandymouth Beach. Across the border into Cornwall the beaches of Bude and Widemouth Bay. Tourist Attractions: The Milky Way Adventure Park, The Big Sheep and the cobbled streets of Clovelly. Walking and water sports at Tamar Lakes. Traffic free cycling on the Tarka Trail.
