HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Welloe Rock is rather special. This lovely, detached farmhouse with
fabulous, uninterrupted sea views from the house and gardens was built in
the 1800’s and has retained much of the original character and charm. The
expansive lawn is bordered by low stonewalls, fields and the narrow lane
leading to the tidal beach at Rinsey Cove, a short walk away. A raised
circular stone patio, with table and chairs, makes the most of the panoramic
views. In spring daffodils are grown in the adjacent field and the bright
yellow flowers are a glorious sight against the backdrop of blue seas. Above
Rinsey Cove is a small National Trust car park with access to the coast
path; the path meanders two miles, past ancient engine houses, to the
picturesque fishing harbour of Porthleven, and in the opposite direction to
the mile long sandy beach at Praa Sands, popular for surfing. The cliff path
is steep in places but the spectacular views make it worthwhile. |

The house is ideal for family gatherings and special occasions; by
prior arrangement the owner can organise midweek housekeeping and a chef to
cook for you. The spacious kitchen/diner has a separate utility room and a
large dining table that seats eight comfortably with lovely garden views and
an open fire. The lounge includes a small study with books and in the hall
is a piano, which you are welcome to play. Upstairs the larger of the two
bathrooms has a shower and steam cubicle with far reaching views to Lands
End from the bath! The lovely bedrooms are light and airy and three have sea
views. The house provides Sky television, Broadband, a gas barbecue, beach
towels and parking for four cars, in a secure, gated courtyard.
Places of interest and beauty include, to the east, the Lizard
Peninsular with the stunning Kynance Cove and the historic town of Helston,
famous for its Flora Day. To the west is Penzance, situated on the beautiful
shores of Mounts Bay dominated by St Michaels Mount. St Ives is an art
