Above Rinsey Cove, the South West Coast path meanders past ancient engine houses to the picturesque fishing harbour of Porthleven. Below is the mile long sandy beach at Praa Sands which is excellent for kayaking, canoeing or surfing, with water sports equipment available for hire. The cliff path is steep in places but the spectacular views make it worthwhile.

Welloe Rock is ideal for family gatherings and special occasions. A celebratory meal and a variety of interesting cookery classes are also available, by prior arrangement with the owner. Guests are welcome to play the piano in the spacious kitchen/diner, which has lovely garden views and an open fire. The lounge has a woodburner providing extra warmth and includes a small study with books. All bedrooms are light and airy, and one of the bathrooms even has far reaching views to Land’s End from the bath! Outside, the games room has table tennis and storage for wetsuits or water sports equipment.

Places of interest and beauty include, to the east, the Lizard Peninsular with the stunning Kynance Cove and the historic town of Helston, famous for its Flora Day. To the west is Penzance, situated on the beautiful shores of Mounts Bay dominated by St Michael’s Mount. St Ives is an art lover's delight with interesting shops, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum.
