Situated on the edge of magical Dartmoor, Treetops is the perfect retreat from which to explore this wonderful place. Once a railway workers cottage, this semi-detached house is positioned in a quiet lane on the outskirts of the town. Patio doors lead from the kitchen/diner onto a small patio, from here steps take you up first to the decked area and then onto the sloping lawn. The top of the garden is fenced and a thick line of trees has been planted to muffle the sound of the main road that is just beyond. The bedrooms are bright and cheerful, and the single room and the twin room have views onto the garden. From Treetops it is just a few minutes walk to Okehampton Station and the Dartmoor Railway, which runs from Mid-Devon to the edge of Dartmoor. From the station there is also access to the Granite Way, six miles of traffic free cycling and some off road cycling if you wish to continue to Lydford Gorge. From the house it is a lovely walk to the village of Belstone and the local riding stables that offer rides across the moor; there is also a friendly family run pub that welcomes dogs. The owner of Treetops is a keen walker and she has provided route maps of different walks over the moor to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
