This stunning family home is in the small village of North Perrott, within a short drive of the historic market town of Crewkerne. It is set in the beautiful hilly Somerset countryside, near the Dorset border, and less than an hours drive from the Dorset coast. The surroundings of Crewkerne include some of the finest landscapes and buildings in the country. The town itself is famous for its many antique shops and is a haven for those looking for antique books. Wayford Rhododendron Woods are just ten minutes drive from Crewkerne. Chard offers a variety of shops and restaurants as well as activities such as swimming, tennis and golf. Bridport, with its weekly market is also within easy reach. Townsend House, which adjoins a small character cottage to the rear of the property, is truly delightful with large airy rooms and furnished with a great sense of style and charm. From the dining room French windows open onto the enclosed lawned garden with space for children to play or enjoy a family barbecue. The attractive lounge, with an open fireplace, is the perfect place to relax.

Nearest Coastline: The beaches at Charmouth, Lyme Regis and West Bay.

Tourist Attractions: The National Trust’s Montacute House and Horn Park Gardens. Beaminster Museum, Forde Abbey and Gardens, Sherborne Castle, Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens.
