You get a tantalising glimpse of the sea before descending into the beautiful valley of Crockwood Farm. No longer a working farm, it has a tranquil country setting where you are free to wander through the acres of grounds which include a pine forest, stream and a lake. The top meadow is perfect for children, with a specially built play area with swings, slide and rope ladders to entertain all ages, as well as space for ball games and kite flying. From here, you have a beautiful view of the coastline of Bude Bay and the energetic can walk to the sea. For those seeking peace and tranquillity, there is a walkway through the lower meadow to the lake where you can sit and enjoy the silence. In the spring there are flowers everywhere and this beautiful countryside provides a natural habitat for wildlife. Bude Bay is right on your doorstep with sandy beaches, some for surfing and some for simply sunbathing, all flanked by spectacular cliffs and rocky ramparts that are the landmark of the North Cornwall/Devon Coast.

Thistledown Cottage is semi-detached, cleverly converted from one of the old barns, and has been finished to the same exceptional high quality that is the hallmark of these lovely properties. The master bedroom has a beautifully canopied half-tester bed. The lounge has floor to ceiling windows so that you can enjoy the view, from this elevated position, of the rolling countryside. There is a private patio and terraced garden area with a barbecue to the rear of the cottage.
