In the countryside between the sea and the Quantocks, The Studio has an enviable location. This delightful cottage has been created by the owners, who live in the adjacent house, from an old barn previously used by an artist. All the character has been retained creating a traditional atmosphere with wooden beams and whitewashed walls. The Studio offers charming and unique accommodation with an unusual, gallery style bedroom, which has sloping walls and a balcony that overlooks the lounge. To the front of the property there is a stone patio brimming with flowers and the lovingly tended surrounding gardens overlook open fields. It is about a mile to Shurton Beach, a quiet and almost unknown cove and about three miles to the Quantocks, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where red deer still roam free. Bridgwater Bay, with its vast mudflats and salt marshes, attracts a variety of wading birds and coarse fishing is available daily at Burton Springs, just half a mile away.

There are lots of public footpaths and walks in the area and you are welcome to bring your dog. The ancient thatched town of Dunster and the county town of Taunton are worth a visit. For a day by the sea, the charming town of Watchet has a great deal to offer with a selection of quaint shops and many pubs and restaurants. Serious shoppers can grab a bargain at Clarks Shopping Village in Street!
