Forming the most easterly section of the Jurassic Coast, the
Studland Peninsula incorporates the South West Coast Path, which
encircles Studland Bay, where the distinctive chalk stack known as
Old Harry Rocks rises from the sea. With spectacular scenery, this
unspoilt area is a haven for native wildlife and has one of the most
stunning stretches of coastline in Britain.
Situated overlooking the sea and surrounding National Trust
heathland, The Spot is an attractive detached bungalow set in a
wildflower meadow garden, with panoramic views from most of its
rooms. Beautifully decorated and furnished with a nautical theme,
this delightful holiday home is full of character and offers a
peaceful and secluded bolthole for those wishing to escape from
their busy lives for a while.
The pretty kitchen has a Rayburn for cooking as well as a
combination microwave, and the sitting room features an open
fireplace. In the dining room, the centrepiece is a unique glass
table made from a huge ship’s wheel. The sunroom, which
opens onto the garden, is perfect for watching the morning sun rise
over the bay. There is no television at
The Spot, but a generous collection of books and games are available
for guests’ use.
Nearest Coastline: Studland Bay with a choice of four sandy
beaches. Swanage, Poole and Sandbanks.
Tourist Attractions: Studland’s beaches and Nature Reserve
for water sports, traditional seaside fun, walking trails and
special events. Poole Harbour, Durlston Country Park and Corfe
Castle. Monkey World and the Tank Museum at Wareham.
