The Roost and
Lockwood are situated within
the extensive grounds of the owners’ home, just off the
main road to Exeter. Guests may be greeted by a small
flock of free-roaming chickens and ducks and many wild
birds populate the mature trees surrounding the
properties. There are also a small number of caravan and
tent pitches which are let from March to October.
The Roost is a
semi-detached cottage, ideal for couples, with a
spacious and bright open plan living area where natural
wood flooring and timber beams feature. From here, patio
doors open onto a private enclosed garden and paved
terrace. An attractive staircase from the living area
leads to the cosy galleried bedroom upstairs. The
property which adjoins the rear of The Roost is used for
storage

Coastline: Dawlish Warren, Dawlish, Shaldon and
Teignmouth.

Attractions: Nature reserve, beach resort and golf
course at Dawlish Warren. Cycling and riding in Haldon
Forest. Historic Exeter with great shopping and
restaurants, Powderham Castle. Coastal cruises and
fishing trips from Dawlish pier and Starcross. Crealy
Great Adventure Park. Numerous outdoor activities on
Dartmoor.
