Two miles west of the small historic market town of Blandford Forum lies Durweston. This part of Dorset is a place of green hills, pretty villages and country inns serving delicious local fare.

The Old Studio is a delightful, detached, single storey property in the grounds of the owner's house. Originally an art studio, it is now a charming cottage, where a blend of old and new has been used to great effect. All the rooms are spacious and light with beautiful, original paintings adorning the pale walls. Outside, a table and chairs in a secluded corner suggests a relaxing meal and a garden seat on the lavender edged lawn is perfect for a glass of wine whilst watching the sun set across the fields. The local pub is a mile away either by road or via a romantic pastoral walk across the River Stour and through water meadows.

Nearest Coastline: The beaches at Bournemouth, Christchurch and Sandbanks.

Tourist Attractions: Athelhampton House, Kingston Lacy and Old Wardour Castle. Excellent walking along the South West Coast Path.
