Places of interest in the area include the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the National Trust gardens at Trerice, Glendurgan, Trelissick and Lanhydrock. On the north Cornish coast Polzeath is popular for surfing and Rock is excellent for sailing or water skiing. You can travel south to Par Sands or Fowey for river trips and fishing, or drive north to Bodmin for a challenging days walking with panoramic views over the Cornish countryside.
