The Old Barn is just half a mile from the North Cornish coast. It has wonderful sea views and offers a taste of traditional farm life. The one hundred acre farm is in the West Penwith Environmentally Sensitive Area and supports a herd of beef cattle; there are also friendly pet pigs and geese. The coast path will lead you to Portheras Cove or the lighthouse at Pendeen Watch. Pendeen village, now part of the World Heritage Site, is within walking distance and has two pubs offering good food. The Old Barn has its own unique charm; whitewashed walls and exposed beams combine with the traditional décor to create a lovely tranquil atmosphere. Children can play in the large, enclosed garden whilst adults have the chance to relax and enjoy the gorgeous sea views. By car, you can take the spectacular coast road passing through the village of Zennor and visit St Ives, about ten miles away, with its Tate Gallery.

	From Penzance you can take a day trip to the Isles of Scilly or explore nearby Mousehole. The Land's End Experience is not to be missed and an evening spent at the open air Minack Theatre, which is dramatically set into the cliffs at Porthcurno, will prove memorable.
