Just a short stroll from The Hideaway is the ferry crossing to Dartmouth, or from the original Victorian station you can catch the stream train, with its beautifully restored coaches, to Paignton and Torbay. For an unusual day out why not try the Round Robin Trip; ferry to Dartmouth, riverboat cruise to Totnes, browse around the shops, open topped bus to Paignton and home on the train. For garden lovers a longish walk takes you to the glorious gardens at Coleton Fishacre or you can join the famous South Devon Coast Path at Kingswear and walk for miles.
