In an idyllic setting within the Exmoor National
Park and less than two miles from the delightful, rural town of
Dulverton, The Granary is one of a small group of cottages that
overlook the scenic Barle Valley. The valley is home to a beautiful
herd of Exmoor red deer, as well as a wide variety of birdlife
including woodpeckers, owls and buzzards.
This lovely, contemporary, three-storey property has a
private garden and a small, south-facing patio accessed from the twin
bedroom. The Granary is reached via a gently sloping, gated driveway, the
bottom of which is shared with the cottage next door. A wooden walkway
crosses from the drive, through a stable door and into the bright, open plan
living area with a woodburner. There are three attractive bedrooms with the
upstairs bedroom having beautiful views to the valley beyond. Numerous walks
can be enjoyed from the cottage, including one to Winsford Hill where Exmoor
ponies roam and views are far reaching to Dunkery and Dartmoor. Dulverton
has interesting shops, tearooms, pubs and restaurants with an excellent
selection of local produce.
Nearest Coastline: The harbours at Lynton and
Lymouth and the beach at Minehead.
Tourist Attractions: Exmoor Pony Centre, Tarr
