There are five golf courses in the vicinity, the most famous being St Mellion Golf & Country Club, where you can enjoy the golf and leisure facilities with a daily membership.

Plymouth offers shops, theatres, the historic Hoe and Barbican, the National Marine Aquarium and river trips along the Tamar River to Cotehele, with its beautiful National Trust house and garden. The narrow streets of Looe and Polperro have interesting shops, cafés and pubs, along with scenic boat or fishing trips from the harbour. The famous Eden Project and Heligan Gardens are both within easy reach.
