Great Huish Farm
Tucked away on the outskirts of
the pretty village of Tedburn St Mary, Great Huish Farm is reached
via a country lane just off the A30. Approximately seven miles from
the historic city of Exeter, this 40-acre sheep farm is just a short
drive away from the north-eastern edge of Dartmoor National Park.
The original ploughman’s
quarters have been expertly converted from a 16th century long barn,
where the heavy horses were stabled, into two superb, adjoining
holiday homes.
The Furrow is a delightful
two-storey property which retains much of the character of the
original barn, with ancient beams and sloping ceilings. The bright
and airy open plan living space, complete with woodburner, is
tastefully furnished with oak floors and a stylish kitchen area. A
winding staircase leads to the pretty bedrooms, where the double
room boasts French windows overlooking the pony field below. To the
side of the property, a lovely secluded patio with garden furniture
leads to the lawned garden, which is shared with its neighbour,
The Yoke.
