Located on a quiet side street in the charming village of West Coker, The Flour Barn is a delightful, detached cottage situated in the grounds of the old village bakery. The interior is furnished in a comfortable, contemporary style. The modern fitted kitchen overlooks the garden and has an attractive, arched hatch leading to the dining area. On the first floor, the two pretty bedrooms have pale walls and delicate soft furnishings, creating a relaxing atmosphere. To the front of the cottage is a small, semi-enclosed garden with a lawn, shrubs, trees and attractive borders. West Coker is a thriving little village with a selection of small shops and two pubs, the Castle Inn and the Royal George. The latter has an excellent menu at very reasonable prices, sells real ale and often has live music. This is an excellent area for walking with a network of public footpaths and easy access to the eastern side of the Blackdown Hills.

For days out, the Cricket St. Thomas Wildlife Park and Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum are both just a short drive from The Flour Barn. For those interested in ancestral homes Montacute House, Barrington Court and Dillington House are all within easy reach. For a days shopping, visit Clarks Village at Street with its numerous outlet shops.
