As its name suggests, this 250 year old property was once part of a working farm in the village of Draycott, between the Mendip Hills and the Somerset Levels. It has been sympathetically converted into a charming holiday home, using local materials and retaining many original features, including stable doors, beams and stone floors. There are attractive rugs, two comfortable sofas and a woodburner style electric fire in the lounge and an attractive sunroom, which has views across the local countryside.

The West Mendip Way passes through Draycott and a bridleway and nature reserve are adjacent to the cottage. Energetic ramblers can follow a footpath to the top of Cheddar Gorge, alternatively take a short drive and explore the famous caves. There are numerous beaches nearby including the miles of sandy beach at Weston-Super-Mare, Burnham on Sea, Brean Sands or Berrow, all with half an hours drive of The Dairy. The Somerset Levels have a unique and beautiful landscape; gentle, quiet, undulating roads and byways make this perfect countryside for walking or cycling. The Mendip Hills offer a contrast of dramatic gorges and stunning hilltop views. Wells, England's smallest city has a magnificent cathedral and Glastonbury is steeped in history. National Trust properties include Lytes Cary Manor, Montacute House and Stembridge Tower Mill. Longleat, Wookey Hole and Bath all provide excellent days out.
