As its name suggests, this 250 year old property was once part of a working farm in the village of Draycott, which lies between the Mendip Hills and the Somerset Levels. The Dairy has been sympathetically converted into a charming holiday home, using local materials and retaining many original features including stable doors, beams and stone floors. There are attractive rugs, two comfortable sofas and a woodburner style electric fire in the lounge and the sun room has views across the countryside. The West Mendip Way passes through Draycott and a bridleway and nature reserve are adjacent to the cottage. Energetic ramblers can follow a footpath to the top of Cheddar Gorge or take a short drive to explore the famous caves and visit the Cheddar Cheese Factory.

Nearest Coastline: The beaches at Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea.

Tourist Attractions: Longleat House and Safari Park, Wookey Hole Caves and Wells Cathedral. The National Trust properties of Lytes Cary Manor, Montacute House and Stembridge Tower Mill. The Spa town of Bath and Gastonbury Tor. Somerset Levels and Moors for walking and cycling.
