Standing in the grounds of Cloister Park, a lovely country house, the Grade II listed barn housing the former stables and coach house has been converted into two semi-detached holiday homes. The Coach House has its own patio and garden area behind the trellis in the foreground. Visitors are also welcome to use the attractive gardens of the main house. Inside, the barn has been completely renovated and newly furnished. The open plan living room has a wooden floor with rugs and a drop-leaf table for dining. Storage for bicycles is provided or bikes can be hired nearby, to enable guests to explore the famous Tarka Trail, 21 miles of scenic, traffic free cycle path, which you can join just a mile away. A short stroll will take you to the village pub, which serves good food and the area is rich in footpaths meandering across the beautiful countryside. A little further afield are lovely beaches at Instow and Westward Ho! The latter is bordered by the Royal North Devon Golf Club and the Northam Nature Reserve. Local attractions include the cobbled, traffic free streets of Clovelly, Dartington Glass, the RHS gardens at Rosemoor and dramatic scenery at Hartland Point. It is worth enquiring at a local Information Centre about trips to Lundy Island.
