SUNSUNSUNSUNSUN

Teapot Cottage is one of a row of former miners’ cottages, which overlook the village green at Carnyorth, where a picturesque flock of white geese often spend their day grazing. Inside, the cottage is full of character with exposed stonewalls, beams and a granite inglenook fireplace with a woodburner. A colourful collection of teapots adorn the dresser and alcoves in the dining room. The garden has a summerhouse and garden furniture and there are glimpses of the sea, less than a mile away, from many of the rooms. The wonderful sands of Whitesand Bay, with Sennen Cove at its southern end, can be reached by foot along the coast path or in a few minutes by car. The beautiful bay at St Ives is backed by cobbled streets full of cafes, restaurants and the work of local artists, as well as the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth's house and garden, with displays of her sculpture. Geevor, just outside Pendeen, has the largest mining history centre in Britain; you can visit the museum and have an underground tour of "Wheal Mexico" and see how miners in the 18th century worked. Mousehole and the Land's End Centre are not to be missed and an evening spent at the Minack Theatre, dramatically set in to the cliffs at Porthcurno, will be memorable.

Note: Non-Smokers Only.  Saturday Changeover.
