Tanglewood offers couples the chance to get away from it all. On arriving in the riverside village of Kingswear leave the car switched off and enjoy the beautiful scenery, sandy beaches, abundant nature, warm hospitality and delicious local produce either by foot, rail, bus or ferry! Tanglewood is detached and situated at the end of a quiet lane with views across the River Dart to the historic Port of Dartmouth and bordered by 30 acres of National Trust woodlands. Steps lead up to the cottage, which is adjacent to the owner's home, with garaging underneath and room for a small boat or trailer. The cottage is spacious and furnished with natural materials and attractive wall hangings; a traditional weaved willow screen separates the bedroom from the lounge. Patio doors open onto a small seating area at the back of the property; stone steps climb the hillside garden to a patio with barbecue and continue higher up to a secluded spot with a table and chairs.

	You can join the Dart Valley Trail from the cottage, which meanders through Hoodown Woods and onto Greenway, the beautiful gardens and former home of Agatha Christie. Visit the Tea Rooms for a delicious cream tea! The views along the trail are stunning with the chance to glimpse cormorants, buzzards, skylarks and deer. In days gone by galleons used the woods for firing practise and long lost canon balls can still be found! Arriving at Dittisham take the ferry to Dartmouth and explore the cobbled streets brimming with shops, restaurants and pubs or visit The Britannia Royal Naval College, castle and museum - so much to see and so little time! The owner is happy to transport you to the start of local walks and the National Trust gardens at nearby Coleton Fishacre. Note: Non-Smokers Only. Wednesday Changeover.
