As you drive up the track to Great Rill Farm, which is surrounded on all sides by the glorious green rolling hills so typical of this area, you will find an enveloping sense of peace and calm. The track bends to the right to reveal two detached cottages, Annas Cottage and Studio Cottage. Studio Cottage is a single storey barn conversion with its high-raftered ceiling, huge granite fireplace, cosy sofas and country style kitchen, is flooded with light from the windows and doors, which afford fantastic country views. From the lounge, French windows open onto a small, enclosed patio, with tubs and boxes of colourful flowers. From outside the cottage, walks across the fields lead down to a river and a network of footpaths and bridleways.

Nearby Bampton and Dulverton are unspoilt moorland towns with a good selection of small, family run shops, tearooms, inns and restaurants. Lord Tennyson called Dulverton 'the land of bubbling streams'. Water is everywhere from little streams to the River Barle, which runs through the town and is renowned for excellent salmon and trout fishing.
