The picturesque hamlet of Coffinswell, with its
traditional thatch and cob buildings, is located in the countryside
between Newton Abbot and Torquay. St Judes Cottage is attached to the
owners' house and guests are welcome to share their large lawned garden,
which features an abundance of trees and shrubs, offering a tranquil
haven for wild birds. Adjoining the garden, two acres of paddocks are
home to miniature ponies, a goat and several ducks, geese and chickens.
This wonderfully cosy cottage has an open plan
living/dining room with an archway leading to the kitchen area. From the
lounge, a spiral staircase leads to the light and airy first floor. A
leisurely stroll will take you to The Linny, Coffinswell's
picture-postcard thatched hostelry. A short drive away, the cosmopolitan
English Riviera with its rich heritage, offers a fine selection of
beaches, as well as excellent shops, restaurants and attractions. |

Nearest Coastline: The beaches of Torquay and
Paignton and the fishing harbour at Brixham.
Tourist Attractions: Paignton Zoo, Paignton and
Dartmouth Steam Railway and river cruises, Newton Abbot Racecourse. Fishing
and boat trips are available from Torquay, Paignton and Brixham harbours.
