As you drive into the pretty village of Heybrook Bay, you are greeted by a breathtaking, panoramic view, which stretches from Plymouth Sound across to Cawsand Bay and out to the Eddystone Lighthouse. Continue through the heart of the village to the coastline and you will find Southways set on the hillside facing the sea. This large, detached house has magnificent views of the sea and passing ships, from its lounge, dining room, garden and some bedrooms. The dining room has patio doors, which open onto the front garden and the driveway has space for three or four cars. The coastal path is visible from the house and walkers can follow it around to the River Yealm to the east. A short walk will take you to the water's edge of the rocky cove at Heybrook Bay and within three miles are the sandy beaches at Wembury Bay and Bovisands Bay. Cornwall is just across the Tamar, reached by bridge or ferry. Looe and Polperro are delightful picture postcard fishing villages where you can enjoy a fresh mackerel lunch or a famous clotted cream tea.

The exciting City of Plymouth is a short drive away; sample the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the historic Barbican area with its variety of pubs and eating houses and The National Marine Aquarium. Winner of nine major tourism awards is the Plymouth Dome, an all weather 'voyage through time' experience for all ages. The Dartmoor National Park, with leafy lanes and quaint village pubs, is within easy reach and for a day out why not visit The Eden Project, with its gigantic rain forest and desert biomes.
