In the little hamlet of Stidson on the edge of Dartmoor is Snuggle Cottage; this detached property, is the perfect romantic hideaway. Snuggle Cottage is a petite, single storey barn conversion in the grounds of the owner's house. The bedroom is prettily furnished and the cosy living area has a pull out dining table and chairs and comfortable seating. Outside there is a quiet decked area with table, chairs and a built in barbecue. You are welcome to visit the horses in the owners small stable yard where free-range chickens wander.

The peaceful, rural location is close to the wonderful rugged tors of Dartmoor and the traditional village of South Brent, which has a good selection of pubs and shops. There are lovely walks from the village, along the banks of the River Avon out onto the open moor. A short drive will take you to Shipley Bridge, a picturesque spot from where you can follow the bubbling stream up to the Avon Dam. To the south there are many beautiful beaches, including Bigbury on Sea, where you can reach Burgh Island by foot or by sea tractor depending on the tide, Thurlestone and Blackpool Sands. Historic Totnes has a museum, an ancient castle and scenic river boat trips to Dartmouth. The cathedral city of Exeter and the naval city of Plymouth with shopping centres, entertainment, and attractions are also within easy drive.
