Smugglers Watch is a unique, 15th century, detached property, situated in the historic village of Bossiney - whose MP was Sir Francis Drake. Originally an old Revenue House, it was later extended to create a spacious property with unusual varying floor levels. This character cottage offers a memorable summer or winter holiday retreat in an area renowned for its stunning coastline. Original features include 4ft thick stone walls, a Jacobean inglenook fireplace and beamed ceilings. The large dining room is perfect for lively family gatherings, or enjoy quiet evenings by the fire in the snug lounge. A nautical theme sails through the ground floor, with an interesting selection of sea-faring objects. Upstairs, the main bedrooms have lovely sea views.

	Dry stonewalls border the pretty front garden and a gate leads to the fully enclosed rear garden, with patio. The sandy beach at Bossiney Haven is within walking distance, via cliff steps, and is popular for surfing and its abundant bird life. This area is ideal for walking and a Heritage Coast Circular walk begins at Bossiney. Visit nearby Tintagel to learn about the mystery and legend of King Arthur. For a fascinating day out, visit The Eden Project, with its gigantic rain forest and desert biomes. Nearby there are excellent golf courses including Bowood, only five miles away.
