Smithy Cottage, originally the blacksmith's home, dates from the mid 19th century. It has been renovated to provide a charming, stone-built cottage tucked away at the end of a quiet lane on the edge of Abbotsham, close to the North West Devon coast. Pine furniture is used throughout the cottage, complemented by stripped pine doors, terracotta and cream soft furnishings and a pretty Victorian open fire in the lounge. There is a small gravelled garden to the front of the cottage. Abbotsham's ancient thatched pub and local shop are within a few minutes walk and the coast path is just one mile away.

Nearest Coastline: The beaches at Westward Ho!, Croyde and Saunton Sands plus the harbour and Tunnels Beaches at Ilfracombe.

Tourist Attractions: The Big Sheep Farm Centre, the RHS centre at Rosemoor and the cobbled streets of Clovelly. Off road cycling on the Tarka Trail, boat trips from Bideford or Ilfracombe to Lundy Island, famous for its puffins.
