Just a few miles from the South Devon coast and the seaside
towns of Dawlish, Teignmouth and Shaldon is the pretty little village of
Ideford. Slade House is set on the edge of this traditional Devon village
overlooking rolling countryside. A detached, comfortable family home with an
amazing leisure suite that includes a HEATED INDOOR
SWIMMING POOL, a sauna room, a multi-gym, Nordic ski exerciser
and treadmill. At one end of the pool there are loungers, a table and chairs
and table football. From the leisure suite large patio doors open on to the
lawned garden with a choice of patio areas for dining. A music system in the
leisure suite is connected to concealed speakers in the garden to really
make your barbecue go with a swing. For a more relaxing form of
entertainment, the TV room has a 42" plasma television screen, with DVDs and
videos to suit everyone. Next to the leisure suite is a snooker room, with a
half size snooker table and leather sofa. If you venture further afield
there is much to see and do in the surrounding area. Ugbrooke House, a
mediaeval manor house with beautiful grounds landscaped by Capability Brown
is nearby, and is open on selected days during the summer. |

Within a short drive are the wild tors of Dartmoor, the
university city of Exeter with excellent shops, theatres and restaurants,
and the lively resort of Torbay with its beaches and nightlife. For those
enjoying arts and crafts Totnes and the arts centre at Dartington are a
must. This unique property is ideal for a large family, or for two families
sharing, and has something to ensure everyone has a wonderful time.
