Shelly Cottage is in a quiet, residential area near Exmouth Marina, just 100 yards from Shelly Beach. Situated on the beautiful River Exe, the estuary is an important habitat for wading and migrating birds. Shelly Beach is also very popular for fishing and enjoying a variety of water sports, especially sailing and windsurfing. Within walking distance of Exmouth seafront and town centre, Shelly Cottage is a surprisingly spacious Victorian house, arranged over three floors. All rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished, especially the master bedroom with an enormous bed! A second television features in the stylish kitchen/breakfast room and the twin bedded room is perfect for children, with plenty of floor space to play. The secluded, rear patio has garden furniture and a barbecue, with limited storage space for bicycles or water sports equipment. (Additional storage is available in a garage nearby by prior arrangement with the owner). There is on street parking, (subject to availability), or a weekly permit can be purchased from the local Tourism Office for use in all East Devon District Car Parks (currently £18).

Exmouth has two miles of sandy beach with dunes, a promenade, traditional seaside attractions, excellent shops, restaurants, lively nightlife and a theatre. Shelly Cottage is an excellent base from which to discover the wonders of East Devon and explore the fascinating Jurassic Coast either on foot, by car, train or boat, with coastal walks and local attractions including Bicton Park, A La Ronde and Exmouth Model Railway. Enjoyable day trips could include a visit to Budleigh Salterton, Powderham Castle or the seaside resorts of Dawlish and Teignmouth. Nearby Woodbury Park offers excellent golf courses, the cathedral city of Exeter is fabulous for sightseeing or shopping and the award-winning Crealy Adventure Park is terrific fun for all the family!
