In the attractive twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, where the narrow streets entwine and the buildings are old and colour-washed, there are quaint tearooms, an hotel, a small selection of shops and four pubs all serving delicious local produce, so you need never cook! The villages have three main beaches separated by areas of rocks with interesting rock pools to explore. Sheltered by Rame Head, the beaches offer fine views of ships sailing in and out of Plymouth. Shell Cottage is a delightful, character property within yards of the beach, restaurants, cafés and pubs. Steps lead up to the front door and into the living room, which has a large open fire, wooden floors and sea views. The charming kitchen is decorated in shades of blue and white with a woodburner for extra warmth and a useful utility area. Upstairs, the attractive main bedroom has sea views and adjoins the bathroom with a lovely roll top bath and nautical theme. The single bedroom also adjoins the bathroom and overlooks a courtyard garden leading to the owners’ art gallery. You are welcome to browse the gallery, which features work by local artists and is open to the public.

	The third bedroom has zip-link beds to offer flexible sleeping and, with a sloping ceiling and limited headroom, is ideal for children. For a wider choice of entertainment and attractions, such as cinemas, theatre, The National Marine Aquarium and the historic Hoe and Barbican, a water taxi will ferry you from Kingsand to Plymouth in half an hour. A delightful walk runs north along Cawsand Bay, through oak woods before reaching the ferry at Cremyll, where you will discover the glorious Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, 800 acres of superb parkland and gardens, which is open all year. Note: Non- Smokers Only. Friday Changeover. A Ł75 refundable Security Deposit is payable. Shell Cottage is not visible in the picture, it adjoins the salmon coloured house. There is no private parking at Shell Cottage but you can unload outside. The car park is a two minute walk and a weekly pass can be purchased.
	Accommodation: Ground floor: Lounge/Diner with double convertible sofa. Kitchen. First Floor: Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with single bed. Adjoining bathroom (between bedrooms 1 & 2) with bath, WC and washbasin. Bedroom 3 with twin beds (zip and link to make a 6ft double bed). Note: Access to the bathroom is via Bedroom 1 or 2.
