for flora and fauna, which you are welcome to wander and explore.
Within the grounds a wildlife lake attracts many species of birds
and the patient observer will be rewarded. Young and old will enjoy
the large, games room (shared with
Lakeside) with a pool table,
tabletop football, a television and games console. There is a small
charge for the pool table and football game. Surrounded by Devon
countryside, the rural hamlet of Warkleigh is midway between Exmoor
and Dartmoor, a short drive from the market towns of South Molton
and Barnstaple and within easy reach of North Devon's glorious
beaches and dramatic coastline. At Instow you can sail, water-ski or
hire a bike and join the scenic Tarka Cycle Trail. Family days out
include The Big Sheep at Bideford, the Quince Honey Farm at South
Molton and RHS Garden Rosemoor at Great Torrington. When you arrive
at Rosewood Cottage the owners, who live opposite, will assure you
of a warm welcome including a delicious cream tea!
