Rose Cottage is on a quiet country lane about one and half miles from Hartland Quay. A warm and cosy detached cottage, situated on the opposite side of the garden to the owner's house, it has its own, private garden area surrounded by rose bushes and a high hedge. Set against the spectacular Atlantic coastline, the Hartland Peninsular offers a landscape of wonderful contrasts. A stunning coastline with beautiful secluded beaches, breathtaking scenery and wonderful cliff top walks. As you cross the peninsula, high open moorland and ancient woodland give way to coastal waterfalls tumbling from hanging valleys onto rocky shores. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a haven of peace and tranquillity, perfect for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. From the quay, Lundy Island, home of the famous puffins, can be seen some ten miles away basking in the sunshine.

	A short drive away is the world famous village of Clovelly, with its traffic free cobbled streets winding their way down the hillside betweeen traditional whitewashed cottages, festooned with fuchsias and geraniums. Further afield lie the market towns of Barnstaple and Bideford, and the glorious golden sandy beaches of Saunton, Putsborough and Croyde.
