Drive through the tall, wrought iron, security gates, cruise down the drive, past the fountain to the double front doors at Ranmoor and you have arrived at a very special place. The spacious hallway welcomes you to a holiday with a touch of Hollywood style - a glamorous house with a HEATED SWIMMING POOL set in a delightful terrace, with panoramic views across the local countryside. A double staircase with a galleried landing leads to six comfortable bedrooms, each with a television and a central balcony, which overlooks the front garden. The master bedroom is large enough to include a three piece suite and has its own balcony above the terrace and swimming pool. There are two further bedrooms on the ground floor, ideal for those who struggle with stairs. The stunning living room has lovely wooden floors with two distinct sitting areas divided by three steps; there is an open fire, luxury seating, a wall mounted 50inch plasma television and patio doors to the terrace. The spacious, elegant dining room will easily accommodate up to sixteen guests for dinner. In the magnificent kitchen, with double oven and large hob, aspiring chefs will want to produce that special menu whilst friends and family pour iced drinks from the American style fridge/freezer, help with preparation at the central island or watch the snooker match in progress in the adjoining area.

The conservatory, dining room and lounge all open onto an extensive paved terrace, which has a heated swimming pool, table and chairs, sun loungers and a swing seat. Garden ornaments, pots of flowers, small palms and clematis complete the picture. A large lawn behind the terrace makes a wonderful space for all the party to indulge in cricket or football - that's if you can prise them off the large, safely netted, trampoline. There is a small cottage in the grounds, situated a good distance from the main house, which is occasionally used by the owners of the property.

Dorset is a place of gentle green hills, pretty villages with thatched cottages and streams, cream teas and country inns offering excellent food. Walkers will enjoy a visit to Cerne Abbas to see the famous giant carved into the hillside, or a stroll along the south coast path around the horseshoe bay at Lulworth. Lulworth Castle has a children's adventure play area, pitch and putt and archery as well as Jousting Shows. At nearby Wool is the National Tank Museum; military enthusiasts will also enjoy the Royal Signals museum at Blandford Forum. Athelhampton House is one of the finest manor houses in England and Stonehenge is a gentle drive away. All the family will enjoy a day at Monkey World, near Wareham, or a trip to the thrills and spills at Splashdown Water Park at Poole. There are miles of sandy beaches in Bournemouth Bay and at the Bournemouth Aquarium you can try the new interactive dive cage. In Thornicombe is Gorcombe Farm where events and activities for the adventurous include paintball, shooting, archery, fishing, quad bikes and vehicle experience.
