There is a large lawn to the front and a patio with barbecue, table and chairs at the rear. Access to the river and town is via a door in the garden wall which is a minutes walk from the river.

There are many beautiful gardens and buildings nearby including the National Trust A La Ronde, Killerton House, the mediaeval Powderham Castle, Exeter Cathedral, Escot Gardens and Bicton Park. Crealy Adventure Park is fun for all the family. A lovely day out from Topsham would be the ‘Round Robin’ boat and train trip to the bustling seaside resort of Exmouth for a relaxing day on the beach, returning later by train to enjoy diner and drinks on the quay as the sun sets before strolling back to Quay Gardens.
