In a land of breathtaking beauty, the small hamlet of Luxborough nestles amongst steep, wooded hills and fields within Exmoor National Park. With stunning scenery all around and the delights of the Somerset coastline just six miles away, the location is excellent to explore both coast and country. Picot Cottage is in a lovely valley on the outskirts of the village, on the owner's ten-acre homestead. Picot Cottage adjoins Eve Cottage in a courtyard setting, opposite the owner's house and garden, where stands a magnificent 150-year-old monkey-puzzle tree. A spacious, converted barn, Picot Cottage is an ideal choice for an extended family and families with differing age groups. Designed on three levels, there are five bedrooms, a large living room, a smaller sitting room, dining room and a kitchen with a useful utility area. Many rooms have high vaulted ceilings with exposed roof trusses. The lounge is a great family room with comfy sofas, woodburner and space to play charades - a family favourite, or put on the CD player and have a bop!

	There is a patio at the rear of the cottage with two sets of tables, chairs and parasols. Within the courtyard is a Games Barn (shared with Eve Cottage) with table tennis, darts and a pool table (coin operated). The room is basic, but ideal for children to escape the adults or vice versa! Exmoor is a wonderful place to explore, on foot or by car, anytime of year. Designated a National Park there is an abundance of wildlife and an amazing diversity of landscapes and seascapes. Walkers and riders will be spoilt for choice with an incredible 652 miles of footpaths and 400 miles of bridleways. Exmoor is rich in heritage and treasures include the ancient Tarr Steps, Dunster Castle and the mediaeval landscape of Badgworthy, which inspired the novel Lorna Doone. For seaside attractions, beaches, golf and shops Minehead is only six miles away. From here you can board the West Somerset steam train for a scenic trip along the coast stopping at Blue Anchor Bay or Watchet. Nearby Wimbleball Lake offers a variety of watersports and angling. Sample the local hospitality at Luxborough's award winning pub, The Royal Oak, which caters for families and has a splendid choice of real ales. Note: Non-Smokers Only. Friday Changeover.
