Peniel is a pretty, 200 year old semi-detached cottage, in a very quiet, rural location less than two miles from the extensive, sandy beach at Perranporth. The beach is backed by sand dunes of Saharan proportions and is crossed by the Cornish coastal path as it meanders on to Newquay to the north and St Agnes and St Ives to the west. Inside, the cottage is traditional in character, with beamed ceilings, low doorways, a feature stone fireplace in the lounge and a grandfather clock and piano in the dining room. The kitchen has a small breakfast area and the cottage is surrounded by a pretty garden. Lifeguards patrol Perranporth beach in the summer and surfboards can be hired. Sand yachting takes place on the beach in winter. There are riding stables nearby and fishing trips can be booked in the town or there is fishing from the shore for bass.
