The holiday village of Pendra Loweth, Cornish for 'Valley of Gardens,' sits in a lovely wooded valley within 16 acres of landscaped gardens. The stream flowing through the grounds is home to trout and eels, attracting birdlife, including the odd heron! On site facilities include a GYM, JACUZZI, STEAM ROOM, SPLASH POOL, THREE ALL WEATHER TENNIS COURTS, a CHILDREN’S PLAY AREA and a CAFE/BAR.

The Maen Valley is wonderful for walking and the sandy, sheltered beach of Maenporth is a gentle twenty-minute stroll. From the beach you can join the South West Coast path and explore the beautiful Helford River, rich in bird and marine life. Gardens to visit nearby include the wild and magical Trebah and the superb subtropical gardens of Glendurgan.

Falmouth, just two miles away, has the third largest natural harbour in the world, where training is taking place for the 2012 Olympic sailing events. Take a trip on one of the many pleasure boats to the pretty harbourside village of St. Mawes, or enjoy a special meal at Rick Stein's famous restaurant in Falmouth.

Penarvon Cottage is a bright, tastefully decorated holiday home. With a bedroom and cloakroom on the ground floor, the property could be considered for guests with limited mobility. A stable door leads from the lounge area onto a patio with garden furniture and a barbecue overlooking the lawn.

The stream to the rear of the properties is unfenced so care must be taken with young children.
The café and bar are open from 6pm during the summer and October half-term but closed for the remainder of the winter months. The splash pool is closed during January and February.

Accommodation: Ground Floor: Open Plan Lounge/Diner/Kitchen. Bedroom 3 with double bed. Cloakroom with WC and washbasin. First Floor: Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with bunk beds. Bathroom with bath, shower, WC and washbasin.

Internet access is available during office hours in Pendra Loweth main reception.

Penarvon Cottage can be booked with Acorns (next door) to accommodate up to 10 people.
