Dating back to the 14th century this stunning
central passage house has been thoughtfully renovated and
furnished to create a truly exceptional, semi-detached holiday
home. The approach, along a narrow country lane, belies the
peaceful location and the splendour of the accommodation offered
at Park Farm, which nestles overlooking the Teign estuary. The
land has been farmed since the 12th century and two flocks of
pedigree sheep graze within the 50 acres of pasture. You are
welcome to visit the petting farm with chickens, ducks, geese
and goats; occasionally you may see the farm manager who lives
next door. The farm is committed to environmentally caring
farming, the trees and hedgerows support many birds and other
wildlife and the permanent pasture in summer is a blaze of wild
flowers attracting more than 25 species of butterfly.
On entering the house you are instantly aware
that you have arrived somewhere very special. The hallway, which
still has the original flooring, leads to an elegant lounge and
the woodburner divides this room from the spectacular
kitchen/diner. The master bedroom has been furnished to create
an atmosphere of opulence with a clawfoot bath in the room
together with a separate en-suite shower room. There are views
of the estuary from the living rooms, the two main bedrooms and
from the enclosed garden. |

beds. First floor: Bedroom 1 with 6ft pencil twist four poster bed,
clawfoot bath, two washbasins and a woodburner leading to en-suite
shower room with shower, WC and washbasin. Bedroom 2 with zip and link
twin beds (can be made up as a 6ft double bed) and en-suite shower room
with shower, WC and washbasin. Bedroom 3 is small and most suitable for
children between 5 and 12 years.
