The Old Mill is a charming, 16th century cottage attached to the original mill buildings. Sympathetically converted and brimming with character, the cottage features wooden and slate floors, original beams and locally made oak beds. In the lounge is an inglenook fireplace with woodburner and both attractive bedrooms are en-suite. The cottage is arranged on different levels with two low doorways, so mind your head! To the front of the old mill buildings is a small seating area, which guests can enjoy. There is also a large, fully enclosed rear garden with picnic table and lovely views over the surrounding fields.

Just feet from the cottage an ancient stone bridge crosses the River Okement where a footpath joins the popular Tarka Trail. The trail leads alongside the river with woodland walks to Exbourne and Hatherleigh Moors. Cycle routes take you to Abbeyford Woods and the market town of Okehampton. The hamlet of Jacobstowe is five miles from Dartmoor and equidistant to both north and south coasts. The cottage is situated on a small lane, just off the main road to Bude, with easy access to the stunning North Cornish beaches.

Nearest Coastline: Hartland Heritage Coast, Bude, Westward Ho! and Croyde Bay.

Tourist Attractions: Excellent walking and cycling: Tarka Trail, Two Castles Trail, the Granite Way, Dartmoor and Millennium cycle routes (cycle hire at Okehampton). Lydford Gorge, Rosemoor RHS Garden, Castle Drogo, the Eden Project and local fishing lakes.
