The Old Farmhouse is part of a traditional Cornish farm, which has belonged to the same family for over 100 years. The nearby coastal path will take you to Portheras Cove or the lighthouse at Pendeen Watch. The farmhouse is over 200 years old and full of character. Whitewashed or exposed stone walls are complemented by beamed ceilings, a huge inglenook fireplace, with a woodburner in the dining room and a smaller woodburner in the lounge. From the kitchen and the two single bedrooms there are views across the fields to the sea. There is a level, gated garden with a picnic table and chairs.

Geevor, just outside Pendeen, has the largest mining history centre in Britain. You can take part in an underground tour of "Wheal Mexico" and see how miners of the 18th century worked and explore the museum and surface mining equipment. By car you can visit Zennor and St Ives with its Tate Gallery. Mousehole and The Land's End Experience are not to be missed and an evening spent at the Minack Theatre, dramatically set into the cliffs at Porthcurno, will prove memorable.
