The Old Barn is an attractive, detached stone cottage situated in a quiet cul-de-sac close to the village of Cheddar, famous for its gorge and caves, as well as the local cheese. Guests have use of all the ground floor accommodation within this spacious property, in addition to the master bedroom on the first floor, with en-suite shower/dressing room. Two remaining rooms upstairs are locked and not in use. This elegant holiday home is traditionally furnished throughout, with the benefit of a flat screen television in the lounge. The open plan front garden is planted with colourful shrubs and the pretty, enclosed rear garden, with a patio and flower borders, provides a comfortable area to relax.

Just a short walk from The Old Barn are two local pubs serving traditional pub food, so guests can enjoy a meal and a drink without taking the car. Visitors can watch genuine cheddar cheese being manufactured at the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company nearby - the only remaining cheese makers in Cheddar. Located in the Mendip Hills, the area is a popular centre for outdoor pursuits such as walking, climbing, caving and horse riding.

Nearest Coastline: Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea.

Tourist Attractions: Cheddar Gorge and Caves, bird watching at Cheddar Reservoir. Days out at Longleat, Bath and Glastonbury. Numerous National Trust properties including Lytes Cary Manor, Stembridge Tower Mill and the amazing Tyntesfield conservation project. Strawberry Line cycle path.
