New Vista is a handsome, detached residence with a stunning, elevated location at Andurn Point, above the foreshore on the eastern side of Plymouth Sound. The panorama from most of the house extends from Eddystone Lighthouse and the open sea, to the City of Plymouth, Drake's Island and South East Cornwall beyond. There is constant entertainment from the weekly naval exercises when warships, helicopters and landing craft can be seen in action, as well as local yachts, the cross channel ferries, cargo ships, powerboat and trans-Atlantic races. Andurn is a quiet hamlet and the approach to New Vista is by a private road; there is ample parking for three cars. The village of Down Thomas is a mile away and has a pub and general stores. The house has a double aspect lounge, with large sofas and chairs, a living-flame gas fire and a 42 inch plasma wall mounted home entertainment system with Sky television.
The dining tables in the large conservatory will provide space for all the family to eat together.

	From the conservatory there is a door to a decked patio with steps leading down to the garden and the beautiful SOLAR HEATED OUTDOOR SWIMMING POOL (available mid May to mid September) and GAMES ROOM. Set in the patio outside the games room is an HEATED JACUZZI with the most amazing sea views! The games room has a pool table, a children's crčche area, with games and toys, and a SAUNA with adjoining shower room. Garden furniture is provided and the garden and pool have remote controlled lighting for the evenings. On the first floor, the master bedroom has wonderful sea views, a queen-size bed and two patio doors, which open onto a balcony. There is also a door leading to a single bedroom, ideal for a child or baby. If you can tear yourselves away from this idyllic haven, there is much to do and see in Plymouth. The Barbican, Plymouth's ancient harbour has craft and antique shops, pubs and restaurants, mingled with historic buildings and cobbled streets. Plymouth Pavilions has live entertainment, an ice rink and fun pool with a flume. At the National Marine Aquarium you can watch sharks swim above your head and for an evening out, the Theatre Royal attracts national productions. A ferry trip across the River Tamar will enable you to explore Torpoint in Cornwall and try surfing at Whitsand Bay, or a short drive away are the many beautiful beaches and estuaries of South Devon. Staddon Heights Golf Course is within three miles’ drive of the property.
