Mount Pleasant is set at the end of a quiet lane, on top of a hill, surrounded by glorious countryside. The extensive gardens surrounding the property are most attractive; fields and panoramic views are the backdrop for manicured lawns, rockeries, a magnificent bed of rhododendrons and azaleas and another of roses. Inside, the house has whitewashed walls, exposed beams and is comfortably and attractively furnished. Bridleways and byways pass close to the house and there are riding stables at nearby North Beer. The North Cornish coast is a short drive away; there is a picturesque harbour at Boscastle, a wide expanse of sandy beach at Widemouth Bay and King Arthur's Castle and Merlin's Cave at Tintagel - all three are connected by the South West Coast Path. The granite tors, moorland and river valleys of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are within a few miles and on the edge of Dartmoor you can discover the spectacular Lydford Gorge and Devil's Cauldron. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are less than an hours drive away and make a wonderful day out for all the family.
