Cheriton Bishop is set amidst rolling countryside deep in the heart of Devon yet within ten miles of Exeter and an easy drive to the stunning beaches and bustling resorts on the South Devon coast. Situated on the eastern edge of Dartmoor this small, rural village has a Post Office, shop, a twice-monthly crafts and local produce market and two pubs, both popular for food. Mounson Lodge is a detached cottage, in a quiet rural setting, just over a mile from the village centre. There are wonderful views from the cottage and garden, over fields towards North Dartmoor and Heltor Rock. The secluded decking is ideal for a family barbecue or just relaxing with a glass of wine. The open plan living room has tiled floors with rugs and an open fire for warmth, leather sofas and a compact kitchen. For those bringing pets the useful utility room is great for drying off muddy dogs after a ramble.

Dartmoor is an exceptionally beautiful place to visit throughout the year with deep wooded gorges, sheltered valleys and tumbling rocky rivers. History, heritage and beautiful gardens can be explored at the nearby National Trust properties; Castle Drogo is perched high over the Teign Gorge with dramatic views over Dartmoor and the beautiful gardens at Killerton House are open all year. The popular seaside resorts of Dawlish and Teignmouth are within easy reach.

Accommodation: Ground Floor: Lounge/Kitchen/Diner. First Floor: Bedroom 1 with king-size bed (headroom by the window is restricted due to the sloping ceiling). Bedroom 2 with single bed. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, WC and washbasin. Outside access to: Utility room.
