Surrounded by beautiful countryside, The Mill House is situated in the rural hamlet of Woodbury on the edge of the ancient market town of Axminster. This immaculately presented, semi-detached cottage, has a private enclosed garden with a picnic table and useful storage shed and is attached to the owners’ home. The comfortable and stylish accommodation is all on one level, with a slope to the front door, making the property suitable for guests with limited mobility.

The open plan kitchen/diner has an archway into the attractive lounge with views across the country lane to Bewley Down. The nearby footpaths make it easy to explore the local area, including a walk to Axminster where you can enjoy a visit to the weekly market or museum. The town has an indoor swimming pool and sports complex, traditional shops and pubs and the TV chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen and Deli. The owners breed alpacas and they are happy for guests to meet these beautiful animals.

Nearest Coastline: The beaches at Seaton, Lyme Regis and Charmouth and the pretty harbour at Beer.

Tourist Attractions: Forde Abbey and the National Trust property of Shute Barton Manor. Seaton Tramway and bird watching on the Axe Estuary. Fossil hunting on the Jurassic coast, a World Heritage Site. Walking and cycling in the Blackdown Hills.
