Lower Well Farmhouse, which is located at the end of a private drive
about one mile from the village of Ugborough. This charming, detached,
character cottage has a large INDOOR HEATED
SWIMMING POOL shared only with the occupants
of nearby Lower Well Cottage. The cottage
is furnished and equipped to the highest standard. The large, pretty garden
with beautiful countryside views and a fine view of Dartmoor has an arch in
the hedge leading to a field, ideal for children to play. In the village
there are two pubs, a small shop and Post Office clustered around the
square, which is decked with flowers in spring and summer giving an almost
Mediterranean feel. The beautiful beaches at Thurlestone, Bantham and
Bigbury are just eight miles to the south making this the perfect location
for a family holiday. |

When visiting Bigbury you can walk across to Burgh Island to enjoy a
drink at the famous Pilchard Inn and see the hotel frequented by the rich
and famous and, when the tide comes in, return on the unique sea tractor. As
well as the beaches, there are numerous pastimes to enjoy; walk from
Salcombe to Bolt Head along the South West Coast Path or visit Slapton Ley.
From the National Trust beauty spot of Shipley Bridge, about four miles
away, you can walk beside the river up to Avon Dam on Dartmoor. Golfers can
enjoy a round on the moorland course at Wrangaton.
