The cottage is furnished and equipped to the highest standard. Adjacent is a pretty garden with beautiful countryside views and an arch in the hedge leads to a field, ideal for children to play. In the village, cottages, two pubs, a small shop and Post Office cluster around the square, which is decked with flowers in spring and summer giving it an almost Mediterranean feel. The beautiful beaches of Thurlestone, Bantham and Bigbury are just eight miles to the south, making this the perfect location for a family holiday.
	Apart from the beaches, there are numerous pastimes to enjoy, walk from Salcombe to Bolt Head along the South West Coast Path or visit Slapton Ley, the largest freshwater lake in South West England. From the National Trust beauty spot of Shipley Bridge, about four miles away, you can walk to the Avon Dam on Dartmoor; a pretty path runs beside the river as it tumbles over boulders and under bridges.
