Lower Mulberry is reached via a sweeping drive, which wends its way through several acres of attractive lawned gardens. Trees, colourful shrubs and birdsong greet you as soon as you drive over the cattle grid to enter this rural retreat in the heart of Cornwall. In addition to their own secluded garden and patio, guests have the freedom to roam throughout the extensive grounds or explore the owner’s woodland and help themselves to seasonal produce from the organic gardens. Children will have great fun fishing for sticklebacks in the stream and perhaps helping with the owner’s horses. For those wishing to reconnect with the sights and sounds of nature, Lower Mulberry is the ideal place.

This semi-detached, single storey property is in the grounds of the owner’s 20 acre agricultural smallholding. A comfortable lounge/dining room, with exposed stone walls and beams, leads to a double/triple bedroom with traditional country pine furniture. The cottage-style kitchen and a family bathroom are also on the same level. Up three steps is a second double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Double doors from this bedroom open onto the private patio.

Lower Mulberry is an excellent base for exploring the local area, close to walking trails such as the Saints Way and the popular Camel Trail. Within easy reach are the Eden Project and a number of well-known gardens including Lanhydrock, Trellissick and the world-renowned Lost Gardens of Heligan. The picturesque coastal villages of Mevagissey and Padstow are within 40 minutes’ drive.
